6. Wear Midi Skirts
Midi skirts typically hit about mid-calf, although I like to make mine dance to my knees when I'm stomping. The goal of getting dressed for work every day is to try to create a silhouette, a straight line down the body, and a midi skirt will do it. I've always said that the pencil skirt is the most slimming skirt for all sizes and heights and the midi skirt is it's best friend. The trick, however, is to wear it without looking dowdy. Wear them in a variety of colors and patterns, with booties or ankle boots, with tucked in graphic t-shirts and sweaters, and colorful socks and boots. I prefer a heel to a flat typically, to give your silhouette more length. It's a 2016 trend and you can't go wrong with the midi skirt.
