Cable Knit for Casual Indifference

Cable Knit for Casual Indifference

The cable-knit sweater, which seemingly has lost its identity as a fisherman’s sweater to that of the classically preppy has now become a winter wardrobe staple that can adapt itself to your personal style in a number of different ways. I have three shelves full of sweaters in my closet, half are cable knit, not only because the threads are more tightly woven together keeping me warmer than any traditional knit sweater; it also exudes an 'I didn't try' elegance and can be worn a number of different ways. For work, it's perfect for those snowy days, paired with trousers, keeping you warm and comfortable. On days where you have outside or internal meetings, it'll deliver the same benefits with skirts and tights. Fitted, oversized, long, or cropped -- find your liking and keep it for the rest of your life.

The cable-knit sweater sends that message of casual indifference (‘Oh, just something I threw on’). And yet it also sends a message of supreme style (“…but I knew what I was doing”).  – NINA GARCIA

Here’s some inspiration for your cable-knit shopping and the different ways you can wear it.
