BUSINESS CASUAL AND BUSINESS FORMAL

BUSINESS CASUAL AND BUSINESS FORMAL

Who says you can't transition the catwalk to the workplace? I've taken some of the seasons hottest looks and translated them into strong workwear apparel for both business casual and business formal. From shocking pinks and reds to bold geometric patterns to yellow ensembles and even leather culottes, here are my top picks for April.

Catwalk Trend: Bold, geometric patterns.

So here's the deal, strong workwear apparel often showcases strong prints, stripes, and patterns. You'll know a strong print when you see it (as well as a weak one -- hint: pastel flowers). Here are some of my favorites.

Catwalk Trend 2: Shocking Pink.

Pow Pow. It's a stunning color and looks good on just about everyone. If you spot a pencil skirt in shocking pink, ping me, I'm looking for it.

Catwalk Trend 3: Yellow.

Bright yellow can create eye fatigue if it's too bright, so I opt for yellows that carry more brown in them. They also transition well in between seasons and are timeless wardrobe essentials.

Catwalk Trend 4: Culottes

Culottes are a good idea for any body type because they skim and thin heavier hips while adding volume to thinner hips. I prefer them at this point in time over any trouser because of the line they create while they show off any great pair of heels.

Catwalk Trend 5: Sleeves.

Big, billowy, and bell like is the look of sleeves this season. The simplest changes to the traditional sleeve help them act as an accessory.
