Curation for the Most Difficult Fashion Challenge - Travel

Out of all the fashion challenges for work, the most difficult is business travel. From finding comfortable and stylish shoes that will make it from the airport to the meeting (and maybe you have to present or facilitate for hours on end), to changing temperatures, to laptop bags with ample room, to trying to fit everything in a carry on -- it's tough. This has become a talent for many women.

I've decided to feature MM Lafleur sent me for a five day business trip. This is a capsule of basics that pop with color and can be dressed up or down. Wear colorful heels or flats and jewelry that fits your style to make it your own.

  • Outfit 1 (Travel time): Wear the Foster pant or a dark pair of jeans (if you don't have any in-person meetings) with the Ford pullover to stay cozy on the plane or in the car, and keep the sweater handy for changing temps in other cities.

  • Outfit 2 (Day 1): Throw on the Peyton top with the Vesterbro trouser. Remember that even if you wore the Foster pants -- nobody saw them.

  • Outfit 3 (Day to Night): Wear the Crawford top and Sutton skirt in pencil plaid for an elegant and breezy look. Throw on the Ford pullover later in the evening if it gets chilly.

  • Outfit 4 (Day 4): Tuck the Peyton top into the Mulberry skirt for a sophisticated look that's comfortable. Go easy on your feet with a kitten heel.

  • Outfit 5 (Travel time): Wear the Jackie top with the Foster pant for an easy and comfortable travel outfit.

Happy packing!
